A Part vs Apart

A Part vs Apart

I'm not the same when you separate me from my "A"

What is really interesting is that when you write it together: 'APART', it means that things are not
close to one another, or that they aren't touching one another.

  • They started fighting and we had to pull them apart.
  • Their two houses are about a mile apart.

When you separate 'A' and 'PART' you get: A PART OF and it means a union of some kind.

  • The knee is the most frequently injured part of the body.
  • The top part of the shoe is made of leather.
