Enough: Word Order
Are the following sentences the same or not?
We haven't got enough cold beer.
We haven't got cold enough beer. 


We haven't got enough cold beer. (We've got some cold beer, but not enough - enough modifies cold beer)
We haven't got cold enough beer. (We've got some (possibly enough) beer, but it isn't cold enough -- enough modifies beer)

We haven’t got enough big glasses. (We need more big nails - enough modifies big glasses.)
We haven’t got big enough glasses. (We need bigger glasses- enough modifies big.)

Before enough we can use: (not) nearly, just, quite or more than.
There's not nearly enough milk.
I've done quite enough work for one day.

However, you can't always reverse the word order.

Is it warm enough for you? (not: Is it enough warm for you?)
Sorry, but this isn't good enough! (not: Sorry, but it isn't enough good.)
